Chronicles of a Raconteur Volume I, the first of three volumes, is a compilation of enlightening, educational, and often humorous stories by and about C.W. “Butch” Welch growing up in the 1950’s in rural SE Idaho, plus it includes stories about his time trapping grizzly bears in Yellowstone National Park, and his twenty-one years as a game warden for Idaho Dept. of Fish & Game. He also writes of how he was led to author six Dutch oven cookbooks and become the host of the first ever Dutch oven cooking show on PBS in 1999.
