Made of a fire resistant material the Dutch Oven Cover adds a whole new dimension to baking bread, desserts, casseroles, and other recipes in a Dutch oven. Conventional techniques for baking in a Dutch oven include placing charcoal briquets or wood coals both below the Dutch oven and on the lid. The Dutch Oven Cover along with the included Heat Diffuser Plate allows one to bake Dutch oven bread on a propane camp stove instead of using charcoal briquets or wood coals from a campfire. In essence the Dutch Oven Dome becomes a convection oven when used on a propane camp stove. In conjunction with the steel Heat Diffuser which is placed over the burner and upon which the Dutch oven sets, the Dutch Oven Dome is then placed over the Dutch oven to capture and concentrate the heat. The Heat diffuser re-directs heat from the bottom of the Dutch oven around the sides which is then captured and concentrated by the Dutch Oven Dome on the top of the Dutch oven to bake the recipe.
